Telephone
  • Phones are equipped in the room, but you can only take incoming calls from outside.
  • For SK Global House, it should be connected to rooms through duty desk at 82_2_2123_3613. Call to room is to dial 2 + room number: for room 315, dial 2315: for room at B1 floor, dial 28+room#, at B2 floor, dial 29+room #.
  • For Int’l House, it could be connected directly to rooms, by dialing 82_2_2123_3612 and 1+room number.
Heating
  • Floor Heating for Winter only
  • Heating will be available as per the school schedule guideline, usually in November.
  • Avoid to set the maximum temperature in consideration of the good operating conditions
Air-conditioning
  • Cooling for Summer only
  • Air-conditioning will be available as per the school schedule guideline, usually in June.
  • SK Global House : provided A/C remote controller by Housing office
  • International House : A/C panel in the room
Room Card Key
  • Room Card Key system is separated by building. You can pass the gate of your building and enter the room with the room card key.
  • You should show your card to the Housing staff if you’re requested to do so. If lost, please report it immediately and get it re-issued.
  • You can enter the room by touching the card to the door lock.
  • You insert the card into the key sensor on the wall and get the electricity on.
  • You should remove the card when you leave the room.
WI-FI
  • School Wifi access is available with student ID & password, which is to be issued by the attending program office not the housing office.
  • If the laptop computer has a wireless card, it will automatically find a wireless access point.
  • To access the Yonsei wireless system, refer to http://yis.yonsei.ac.kr/.
  • Select ‘Yonsei’ to access WIFI.
  • Input ID and password of Yonsei portal
Set-Up
Windows 7
  • 1. Right click “My Network Neighborhood”.
  • 2. Go to “Properties”
  • 3. Right click “Local Area Connection”
  • 4. Go to “Properties”
  • 5. Double click “Internet Protocol (TCP / IPv4)”
  • 6. IP Address, subnet mask and default gate way : “your own address” – posted on your desk
  • 7. Preferred DNS Server: 165.132.10.21
  • 8. Alternate DNS server: 165.132.5.21 (Oct. 1, 2015~)
  • 9. Click "OK"
Set-Up
Mac book
  • 1. Click on the Apple icon on the top left corner
  • 2. Scroll down and click ‘System Preferences’
  • 3. On the ‘System Preferences’ screen, click ‘Network’
  • 4. When the ‘Network’ screen appears, click ‘Built-in Ethernet’
  • 5. In the TCP/IP Connection section
  • 6. Configure : Manually
  • 7. Input IP Address, subnet mask and default gate way : “your own address” – posted on your desk
  • 8. Preferred DNS Server: 165.132.10.21
  • 9. Alternate DNS server: 165.132.5.21 (Oct. 1, 2015~)
  • If there are two places for the DNS server numbers, place them separately accordingly.
  • Lock your settings and restart your computer.

kitchen, laundry, Fitness Center, Music Room, Computer Lab

Kitchen
  • Residents can cook in the common kitchen at B3 , but cannot leave personal kitchen utensils in the kitchen.
  • All the personal kitchen utensils should be kept in the designated box, from the housing office with deposit of KRW5,000-.
  • All the items in the fridge should be kept in the designated vynle bag, from the housing office.
Laundry
  • Residents can use washer and dryer with laundry payment card. There are instructions how to use washer and dryer in the laundry rooms.
Fitness Center
  • Located on B2 floor, next to male laundry room.
  • Closed from midnight to 6 a.m. for neighboring residents.
Music Room
  • Located on B3 floor.
  • Reservation is required at the duty desk.
Computer Lab
  • Computers and printer are equipped.
  • Printer can be used with the credit card or the printing card (which can be charged from the library)

Maintenance, Mails, Stroage, In-room closet, Log Books, Certificate of Residence

Maintenance
  • Residents need to log Maintenance request logbook at duty desk for maintenance service.
  • Urgent repair after 6 p.m. or during the weekends and holidays, residents could contact duty manager at the duty desk.
  • Maintenance staff can enter the room for any repairs.
Mails
  • General mails to be distributed to mail box, located in the lobby.
  • Registered mails to be noticed on the board on the main board, in front of elevator B2.
  • General parcels (Taekbae) to be delivered to the desk in the lobby.
  • Housing office is not responsible for any loss or damages of general mails or general parcels.
Storage
  • Housing office doesn’t provide any storage for personal belongings during the semester. Storage is proved only to the residents, who extended their stay for only 2 boxes (provided by the housing office with the deposit KRW5,000)
In-room closet
  • Closet key is available upon request, from the day after the orientation date, with the deposit of KRW5,000.
In-room closet
  • Residents are asked to write down the logbook for the following cases:.

  • Maintenance Request
  • Guest Visit
  • Staying Out Overnight
  • Music Room
Certificate of Residence
  • Certificate of residence is to be requested by signing-up at the housing office then, it is issued on the next day.
